Embedded sound middleware "CRI D-Amp Driver"

This full-digital audio output middleware enables high sound quality, low power consumption, and low heat generation using only a microcontroller and an H-bridge circuit.

Feature 1 | High Sound Quality with Full-Digital Architecture This product adopts a fully digital audio output architecture that does not rely on any analog circuitry. Its proprietary output method combined with differential drive technology effectively suppresses noise generated during speaker operation, achieving extremely low noise levels compared to typical Class-D amplifiers. As a result, it delivers high-fidelity, accurate sound reproduction. In particular, distortion is minimized in the low-frequency range, enabling sound reproduction that is closer to the original audio waveform. Feature 2 | Low Power Consumption and Low Heat Generation Compared with conventional Class-D amplifiers, this solution requires approximately half the power consumption to achieve the same sound pressure level. Furthermore, by using GaN FETs (Gallium Nitride FETs) in the H-bridge circuit, power consumption can be reduced by up to 60%. These characteristics provide the following benefits: Extended battery life for battery-powered devices Reduced heat generation Downsizing or elimination of heat sinks This significantly increases design flexibility, especially in compact or sealed products. Feature 3 | Simple Circuit Configuration and Reduced Procurement Risk The external circuitry consists only of an H-bridge circuit (a few transistors and resistors). The system can be built entirely with general-purpose components, enabling: Reduction in component count Lower procurement and inventory risk Reduced implementation cost Additionally, even when components are changed, the system can be adapted simply by switching the middleware, allowing flexible product standardization and design changes.
